Do You Still Need a PR Agency?

Jeremy Porter notes that  ”as more and more experts take the plunge into blogging or twittering, some are discovering what good PR pros have known all along: it’s all about the relationships.”

For brands that have the manpower to build and sustain media relationships, the question is valid: why do you need an agency?

For most brands, however, internal staffing is too tight to nurture relationships.  As Porter notes, the best PR people always have been-and always will be-connectors to help brands build and nuture relationships.
