One commercial construction case study.  Six key trade journal placements.

That only happens when the case study has the technical details and the storytelling appeal that B2B editors need.

One of the world’s top pump manufacturers hired O’Reilly DePalma to demonstrate the long-term energy and system efficiency savings of their municipal pumping systems.

Through a combination of journalistic storytelling and brand strategy, our goal was to illustrate the benefits of intelligent pumping by highlighting one rural community’s journey to upgrade its water delivery system.

Demonstrate the potential return on investment for municipal leaders by requesting Grundfos pump solutions by developing a credible case study and securing earned media through targeted high-value B2B media.  Targets included municipal planning and commercial plumbing magazines.

Supported marketing objective of attaining premium price position to fund continuing innovations.

Final case study was placed in six print and online industry trade outlets.

Total impressions exceeded 205,000, with more than six valuable inbound links created.

Technical Expertise Required

Technical expertise is needed to measure the ROI on pumping systems.

Specifically: To demonstrate the potential return on investment for municipalities using smart pump technology, it is important to know  that the benefits of smart pump technology range from gains in 1) system performance [reliability/system redundancies, leak reduction] to 2) easier maintenance [troubleshooting, system reporting] to 3) lower costs [less energy consumption, utility rebates, lower lifetime costs.]

We don't recommend asking your consumer-minded PR agency to achieve these results.

Or to understand and interpret the image below.

O'Reilly DePalma has a wide network of skilled design and construction industry journalists good technical storytelling and successful media relations, we were able to leverage our client's investment to reach readers of six separate trade journals.
