Public Relations Benefits Manufacturer Unveiling New Customer Training Center

Uponor, an award-winning provider of PEX piping systems, wanted to announce the opening of its newly remodeled and expanded customer training center in Apple Valley, Minn.

The 11,000-square-foot teaching and learning hub is dedicated to educating professional system designers and installers in the radiant, plumbing and fire sprinkler industries.

Of course, one of the best ways to alert potential trainees is through the trade press. But instead of resting content with a simple press release, Uponor — with the help of O'Reilly DePalma — went the extra mile by coordinating a special open house for trade media from across the country.

Editors from all of the major trade magazine publishers made the trip to the Twin Cities to cover the event for their publications. In addition to spreading the word about the new training facility, these editors also came away with a deeper appreciation of Uponor as a valuable resource for their editorial efforts.
